Job title: Registration and Administrative Assistant (College of Licensed Practical Nurses PEI)
Job description: The Registration and Administration Assistant (RAA) plays an integral role within the small team at the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of PEI (CLPN). As delegated by the Registrar, the RAA facilitates and applies registration and renewal requirements according to the Regulated Health Professions Act and Licensed Practical Nurse Regulations as well as other general administrative duties. The RAA is the first point of contact for the CLPNPEI and provides information and support to members and stakeholders about CLPNPEI-related inquiries.
Term of employment:
Permanent Part-Time
Monday – Thursday: 30 hours per week
Reporting to:
Executive Director
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Facilitate the registration and registration renewal of applicants;
- Greet, assist and or direct visitors in-person, by telephone, and via email;
- Support the processes related to the practical nurse registration exam, including communication with applicants;
- Protect and maintain the integrity of confidentiality through all interactions;
- Maintain content management system and digital communication platforms;
- Participate in other applicable registration processes;
- Facilitate CLPNPEI customer service;
- Provide general administrative services.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education with a certificate or diploma in administration or related field
- Experience with providing office administration and support in a professional setting
- Experience with data entry and processing in a professional setting
- Proficient technological skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint
- Professional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to positively interact with others
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Discretion in handling confidential matters
- A general understanding of the regulatory role of the CLPNPEI
- Professional regulation or occupational certification (preferred but not mandatory)
- Knowledge of web design, publishing software and graphic design including Adobe, WordPress (preferred but not mandatory).
Work Environment
Extended periods of sitting and use of computer; quiet office setting with minimal distractions; small team environment.

Compensation: $19-$21 per hour
