A DAY IN THE LIFE
As a Residential Program Manager you utilize assessment and treatment skills. Provide comprehensive case management. Collaborate with collateral care providers. Advocate and deliver psycho educational groups. Provide individual supportive counseling (and family intervention as indicated), crisis assessment, intervention and discharge planning. Monitor, educate and supervise the administration of medication. Provide care to clients, oversee site scheduling and monitoring clients. Work as a member of an interdisciplinary team and supervising Residential Counselors and Residential Senior Counselors.
You are responsible for reporting any changes or concerns promptly, keeping up-to-date and accurate records of interactions and progress. You find the opportunity to participate in residents’ lives very rewarding! If any medical or psychiatric emergencies occur, you immediately set in motion the appropriate crisis management procedures. You also get to participate in case management and supportive counseling. You advocate for residents’ benefits and coordinate with local service providers. As you assist residents in accessing services and reaching goals, you find a great deal of satisfaction in their progress.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in a mental health related discipline
- Valid driver’s license in state of residence and no more than 5 points on driving record
- Must be able to successfully complete a physical, drug screen and background check
