Project Summary

The Project Risk Manager is responsible for provision of support and guidance for Project Risk Management (PRM) and relevant internal and external stakeholder management in PRM matters across the project. Responsible for providing technical advice and management of the Risk Management Program, the role requires a people person with ability to drive focus on PRM, lead through influence and connect PRM with key interfaces across the project scope. Working in close coordination with project leaders, establishing stakeholder relationships and gaining proposal teams and project management teams’ trust, your broad experience in construction, engineering or mining will support your ability to quickly grasp the policies, processes, and structures by which our projects work within.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project risk management program across the project.
• Manage and Maintain risk activities to ensure alignment with the risk management plan.
• Mentor, train and advise project leaders in risk awareness.
• Deliver training in project risk management.
• Arrange and Facilitate Workshops.
• Deliver to the Project Execution Plan.
• Reporting to key stakeholders.
• Represent the project risk management program at project leadership meetings.
• Liaise with Bechtel and customer leaders in all aspects of the project risk management program.
• Ability to work with limited supervision to meet multiple deadlines simultaneously under pressure.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in risk management in a project environment.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience working in projects ideally within construction or infrastructure.
• Demonstrated experience in Qualitative and Quantitive Risk Management is necessary.
• Relevant recognized Diploma, Degree, or Professional Certification.
• Experience in the Infrastructure / Heavy Civil / Aviation / Renewables / Mining / Construction industries advantageous.
