Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist who will be motivated, self-directed and a key member of a dynamic interdisciplinary team with defined roles focused on quality patient care and patient flow. The successful candidate will be responsible to provide excellent care to a diverse acute medical patient population in a fast-paced setting.
Primary Responsibilities
- Providing RT coverage in the birthing unit, critical care units, emergency department and wards
- Member of the CCOT team, responsible for responding to various codes within the organization.
- Responsible for setup, maintenance and monitoring of respiratory equipment.
Skills & Abilities
- Experience with asthma and COPD patient education preferred
- Knowledge of adult education principles an asset
- Experience working with paediatrics and neonates preferred
- Demonstrated excellence in communication, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated problem assessment skills
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service and teamwork
- Demonstrated individual leadership skills
- Demonstrated individual leadership skills

Qualifications
- RRT registered with the College of Respiratory Therapists in the General Class
- Practice according to the standards and guidelines set out by the College
- BCLS and NRP required
- ACLS preferred
