This position is responsible for the safety and security of all guests, staff and property of the resort during the days and evenings. The security guard will participate in routine foot and vehicle patrols to survey the entire resort regularly for appropriate controls over; noise, damage/graffiti, alarms, trespassing and crisis/First Aid response etc.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

• Perform regular foot and mobile security patrols both indoors and outdoors all seasons in all types of weather
• Respond to fire and intrusion alarms
• Respond to all noise complaints and disruptive behavior issues
• Deal with trespassers in accordance with Provincial statues and SOP
• Provide security services as per contractual agreements in and around Blue Mountain Resorts
• Provide First Aid/CPR/AED when required
• Document all security incidences in the security log
• Deal with parking issues in accordance with Municipal By-Law and Standard Operating Procedure
• Provide physical security and/or cash escorts to late night employees
• When so required; notify and liaise with OPP to ensure the safety and integrity of the Resort
• In support of the Blue Mountain Resort’s mission statement, assist other departments and perform other duties as assigned

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Must be in possession of a valid Ontario Driver License
• Must be in possession of a valid Ontario Security Guard License
• Candidates with Security, Police and/or military experience a definite asset
• Successful completion of First Aid/CPR/AED training an asset
• Knowledge of MSWord, e-mail and other MS Office suite software a must
• Ability to service our guest & build positive relationships with colleagues and business partners working at Blue
