What you’ll do:

Working with our existing crop input retail customers and agricultural consultants, the successful candidate will be responsible for selling and promoting the NexusBioAg portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Able and eager to execute on the NexusBioAg portfolio sales strategies and tactics; grow territory sales through unique, tailored, and innovative means.
  • A contributing team member who provides leadership through personal strengths.
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge and provide product, agronomic support including the launching of new products through dealers, agronomists, and growers.
  • Customer focused with a keen desire to build long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Develop retail business plans, forecasts to achieve annual territory/ retail business objectives.
  • Maintains competitive market knowledge in respective territory.
  • Regular contact with key accounts and prospective customers to sell NexusBioAg product and services.
  • Follow through on sales cycle with key and new accounts including grower prospects.
  • Effectively manage regional resources such as sales enablement tools, business development programs and forecasting tools.
  • Create demand through local marketing tactics and activities.
  • Successfully resolve any grower concerns with respect to NexusBioAg performance inquiries. NexusBioAg Agronomists will provide technical support when appropriate.
  • Plan and execute and recruit co-operators to participate in the BioAdvantage Trial (BAT) program.
  • Not likely to be a lot of overnight travel.
  • Meet organizational safety requirements and other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • College diploma or University degree in Agriculture or business-related discipline, and three (3) years’ experience in sales.
  • Proven sales and relationship building skills with key grower customers.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to sell value.
  • Strong understanding of biologicals.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Fundamental knowledge of fertility agronomics.
  • Understanding of business principles and business and farm planning with growers.
  • Creative and can adapt to change.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team skills.
