Job description: As a Senior Accountant: You will act as a critical financial resource to the restaurant operators and provides support to the Accounting Manager.

Role Responsibilities

• Prepares and reports Weekly Financial Number, Rankings & Period Financial Statements
• Reconciles central & unit bank accounts
• Ensures accuracy and completion of inter-company adjustments
• Reconcile gift card accounts. Reconcile balance sheet accounts / general ledger accounts.
• Support store management with ad hoc queries
• Prepares year-end files and assists in preparation of corporate tax returns
• Assists with year-end Audit
• Prepare government remittances (GST, PST, HST, and Excise Tax).

Requirements

• Recent completion of the CPA Program
• 3 – 6 years in an accounting environment
• Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills.
• Desired prior experience in the hospitality industry
• Highly proficient in Excel (technical competency is a must!)
