Position summary:

The senior internal IT auditor will be responsible for the planning, coordination and execution of IT audits. The person filling this position will also be required to coordinate and lead the C-198 work planning process as it related to IT as well as develop a review of C-198 methodologies when required. The senior internal IT auditor will manage and carry out pathway and operational effectiveness testing related to the C-198 project. He will also be involved in all other special projects when required and, whenever possible, will manage internal auditors, helping deliver mandates under his responsibility.

Key responsibilities:

Coordinate and carry out IT auditing mandates: identify and assess risks, carry out and/or coordinate operational effectiveness tests, and evaluate the design of controls.

Write or revise audit reports.

Present audit reports to management at closing meetings.

Plan and review the scope of the C-198 audit as it relates to the testing of systems supporting processes relating to C-198 certification.

Carry out pathway and operational effectiveness tests on general IT controls (ITGCs), in keeping with the pre-established C-198 strategy. As needed, prepare and review test scripts to ensure that all required aspects are covered.

Ensure the coordination of C-198 work with outside auditors.

Write reports on C-198 results and present them to management.

Collaborate on special projects or investigations when required.

Ensure the execution of all other related tasks.

Champion TeamMate responsible for the evolution of methodologies, in order to make the most of the audit tool.

Academic training:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or other fields related to IT.

Professional certifications in auditing or IT auditing and cyber security (CISA, CIA or CISSP) are assets.

Work experience:

A minimum of five years of experience in the following fields: Internal IT auditing, financial compliance and C-198, risk management.

Ability to manage several files simultaneously and commitment to meeting deadlines.

Good synthesis and analytical abilities; attention to detail.

Ability to work under pressure.

A team player, autonomous with a sense of initiative.

High level of professionalism, integrity and ethics.

Available to travel up to 10% of the time.
