Job Description
Reporting to the Director Application Development of Reitmans (Canada) Limited, the Senior IT Business Analyst acts as a liaison between our IT, Human Resources and Store Operations teams. You will add value to the organization by designing and developing metrics, reports and analysis that drive key business decisions for our partners. You will as well embark on an exciting project that is currently underway!
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and document our internal client’s business context and needs and translate them into business and functional requirements;
- Provide leadership and guidance related to process optimization and mapping, data flows and systems interfaces;
- Ensure the adherence of proposed solutions with the business and technological orientations of the retail industry;
- Develop, document, and perform functional test scenarios;
- Participate in the implementation, deployment, improvement, and update projects of our business partners’ main applications;
- Support the Human Resources and Store Operations teams in identifying, defining, and capturing the right data and metrics for reports and dashboards design and ensures accuracy of reports;
- Become a super user of our Human Capital Management and Workforce Management systems and keeps abreast of upgrades and changes;
- Analyze processes or issues to determine the best solutions;
- Research and identify improvement opportunities with a focus on technology-based solutions;
- Assist and train team when onboarding new tools;
- Key resource to troubleshoot system issues and identify inefficiencies.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- College or University degree in Business Administration or Computer Science or equivalent;
- Minimum 8 years as a Business Analyst;
- Developed analytical and troubleshooting expertise;
- Experience with workforce scheduling, forecasting, and time management;
- Experience with HRIS systems;
- Capable of proactively identifying risks and errors posed by business practices;
- Ability to manage time and multiple ongoing priorities autonomously;
- Strong attention to accuracy and detail;
- Developed communication and collaboration skills to tactically partner cross-functionally;
- Bilingual (French & English – to communicate with stores across Canada).
