ABOUT THE POSITION
- Generating and underwriting new business with a focus on profitability
- Reviewing insurance documents, new business applications and renewals
- Conducting risk analysis on a commercial P&C portfolio (mostly construction accounts)
- Making prompt and appropriate underwriting decisions
- Negotiating terms and conditions with broker partners to reach mutually beneficial agreements
- Building and nurturing close relationships with clients, brokers and stakeholders
- Representing the company at industry events
THE REQUIREMENTS
- 7+ years of experience as a Production Underwriter in Commercial Insurance
- Solid knowledge and professional network in the construction insurance space
- High attention to detail and a strong analytical mindset
- Strong communication and decision-making skills
COMPENSATION
- Based on seniority level: $110,000 – $120,000
- Hybrid option
