Position Overview
Autodesk Education is looking for an exceptional leader to improve operational efficiency and create greater transparency in our day-to-day operations as Marketing continues to scale. Success looks like cross-functional teams collaborating effectively, reporting up-and-out on results and impact, and functioning as a cohesive unit. Responsibilities include project management, oversight of complex budgeting, ownership of global campaign launches, developing a framework and operating model for project intake, standardized project timelines, central asset repository, and developing reporting mechanisms that demonstrate the impact of the team’s work. You will work closely with our Finance and Business Operations (BizOps) team to understand and optimize ROI on fixed and variable marketing spend. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Marketing, this leader will manage one contractor.
Responsibilities
Project and Budget Management
- Own marketing budget, tracking spend that connects PO, invoice, marketing activity, spend allocation, and ROI.
- Conduct an audit of current processes, assess team requirements, and present recommendation for a unified tracking tool and central asset repository; implement, and ensure buy-in and adoption amongst stakeholders.
- Stand up a Project Management operating model, defining and maintaining standards for project management within the Marketing organization.
- Build a complex global campaign launch workback schedule that spans Industry Strategy & Marketing (Product Marketing), Campaign Development, and Integrated Marketing (Demand Generation / Campaign Execution) in Microsoft Project or Smartsheet. Track end-to-end campaign delivery ensuring deadlines and visibility across cross-functional teams. Own project health, progress, workload, task management, and mitigating roadblocks.
- Create ad hoc marketing request intake forms, evaluate incoming requests, prioritize, capably approve and reject proposed initiatives, evaluate tradeoffs, available resources, existing backlog, impact on the business, create risk matrix, and communicate out
- Strategically move the Marketing team from request-led to planning-led through defined goal setting and roadmap
- Own and lead weekly marketing standups
- Collaborate with Exec Leadership, Chief of Staff, Finance, Operations, and other functional leads and managers to improve process transparency and program velocity
- Enable faster decision-making across leadership by providing clear status of marketing projects and current state in easy-to-digest calendar views and Gantt charts
- Prepare and communicate timely reports of Campaign and Integrated Marketing KPIs to inform Industry Strategy & Marketing messaging, offers, and tactics.
- Develop and deliver effective presentations to a variety of audiences, including the Executive team
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- 8+ years in Program and/or Project Management role, preferably in a marketing function
- 2+ years people management
- Demonstrated ability to be a big-picture thinker, strategist, and long-term planner
- Expert using Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Asana, Jira, and Airtable for complex project management is a must
Preferred Qualifications
- Adept at collaborating within a highly matrixed environment
- Certification and practical implementation of process and mechanism improvement such as Six Sigma, Change Management, Agile, Scrum Master methodologies
- PMP certification preferred

- You love data, and thrive in Power BI
- You have ideas for and experience with optimizing processes around outcomes. Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Asana, Jira, and Airtable guru.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills are a must, along with the ability to influence individual contributors and executive management
