POSITION: SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER (CONSTRUCTION) – PHSA

JOB TYPE: Permanent

WORKING HOURS: TBD

START DATE: ASAP

LOCATION: Vancouver

Responsibilities

• Managing facilities construction projects using PHSA’ s PM methodologies to implement projects
• Dealing with planning, initiation, and completion of construction
• Corresponding effectively with various stakeholders such as PHSA leadership, project co-leaders, and vendors, concerning the project status, ongoing issues, and other updates
• Overseeing the development of project business plans through the preparation of feasibility studies, analysis, and solution development
• Implementing training and oversight to other project leaders in the delivery of projects
• Obtaining and managing consultants, contractors, or vendors by PHSA’ s procurement policies
• Handling project documentation submissions, deficiency resolution, warranty reviews, and financial reconciliation

Requirements

• A professional project management designation (PMP) is required
• Must have a professional/master’ s education in Engineering, Construction Management, Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field
• 7 years in facilities/capital project design, planning and management
• Must have a valid BC driver’ s license and a reliable vehicle
• Experience delivering projects in 24/7 occupied buildings.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in both oral and written manner
• Ability to work effectively with team members
• Strong knowledge of CCDC 2 contracts
• Knowledge of Health Care standards would be an asset
• Proficient in MS Office suite and ability to use CAD
• Professional demeanor and detail-oriented
