About The Role
The Senior Recruiter reports functionally to the Workforce Recruitment Manager. The individual will recruit for senior field supervision roles (Superintendents, Construction Managers, etc.) for construction groups located throughout Canada.
This is a ‘hands on,’ operationally-focused support role, primarily focused on developing critical relationships with passive candidates through active sourcing strategies. The Senior Recruiter will be a key support for all assigned client group’s recruitment needs. A key focus of this role will be supporting the rapid growth of these teams through engaging with various sources and strategies, including advertising, external sourcing, market intelligence, and industry partnerships, with the goal of effectively and efficiently delivering high quality candidates.
As a Senior Recruiter at Jardeg you will:
- Execute recruitment for assigned geographical regions, subdivisions, or functions.
- Attract and engage candidates, identify skill sets that are in short supply, and develop market strategies for specific skill sets and/or individuals.
- Establish and build relationships with candidates, hiring stakeholders, and team members.
- Set reasonable expectations and maintain communication with the hiring manager, senior leadership, and other stakeholders, keeping everyone informed and up-to-date throughout the hiring process.
- Conduct initial candidate phone screens and manage candidates throughout the hiring process.
To be Successful at Jardeg, you will have the following qualifications and experience: or Qualifications/Experience:
- Degree in Business or a related field is preferred.
- 4+ years of experience working in a dedicated recruitment role in the construction industry.
- 2+ years of experience in a recruitment agency, responsible for running a full-cycle recruitment desk is preferred.
- Experience using passive candidate engagement tools, including LinkedIn Recruiter.
- Advanced understanding of construction project methodologies, including assessing candidate knowledge of project scope, contract delivery models, HSE management, schedule management, and budget management.
- Demonstrated ability to actively pursue passive candidates, and conduct research into competitors and geographical areas.
