Snr Specialist, Continuing Education

The Senior Specialist, Continuing Education will act as the subject matter expert in each of the governing bodies, licensing requirements and their submission tools and procedures. The incumbent will ensure our training content complies with the accreditation guidelines defined by all IG approved governing bodies. The Senior Specialist effectively manages the accredited content, tracks attendance/completions and handles CE inquiries.

Primary Responsibilities/Key Accountabilities * Understand and maintain their knowledge about the licensing requirements, the required CE credits & PDU and the continuing education cycles of 11 regulatory bodies across the country.

• Analyze and evaluate content to determine if CE credits & PDU are applicable and submit all CE credits & PDU applications to the governing bodies.
• Responsible for tracking, communications, and handling inquiries from the governing bodies.
• Provide suggestions of how to improve content to receive CE credits & PDU.
• Track and report CE credit & PDU submissions, monitor volume of submission, costs by regulators and identify any changes in requirements or regulations impacting submissions.
• Respond to inquiries from Field, and Head Office Registrants regarding CE credits & PDU.
• Pull data feeds, produce V-lookups, update spreadsheets and CE information on IG University LMS systems, applications and regulators websites (MFDA, IIROC, CSF).
• Create/maintain CE & PDU communication plan.
• Create and distribute CE Credits & PDU bundle using internal and external education partner content.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirement: Post-secondary diploma in a relevant business or financial discipline.

Experience: 3+ years in continuing education, Learning and Development or Compliance experience.

Job specific knowledge and skills:

• Strong writing and verbal communication skills, in both French and English.
• Critical and process-driven thinking and relationship management
• Strong organizational skills with an ability to meet and work within tight deadlines with different stakeholders
• Ability to prioritize high volumes of work and excellent attention to detail
• Ability to manage fluctuating workloads and changing priorities, including the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
• Thinks creatively and proposes new solutions
• Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules
• Data-driven decision making & business analysis
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Power BI
