Job Description

Our Structural Team is seeking an Senior Structural Engineer to join their growing team! This individual can be located out of the Toronro West office. The successful individual will develop and manage projects for the construction of new or modification to existing commercial, industrial and institutional buildings & structures, ensuring conformance with building codes. Perform responsible, professional level foundation & structural analysis, building and structural inspections. This role will be involved in water/wastewater structures and heavy rail/LRT related structures. Project experience in these areas are ideal.

Most of the Things You’ll Work on:

• Participate in the design of drawings and specifications and in the analysis of various structures projects building structures and foundations, industrial structures, and civil structures including Concrete Water/Wastewater Structures and heavy rail/LRT and subway infrastructure projects
• Conduct periodic site reviews to ensure construction complies with design intent and codes
• Provide direction to, and work with, Engineering & CAD staff

Qualifications

You’ll Need To Have:

• Registered P.Eng with PEO
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Master’s degree in Structural Engineering is an asset
• Minimum 10 years relevant experience in structural design and heavy construction projects
• Experience with complex construction projects involving P3, Infrastructure and/or underground LRT and subway
• Technical competency in the design of structural building systems
• Knowledge and understanding of structural design software such as ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000 and Robot is expected
• Experience with Microsoft Office and software such as Navisworks, Bluebeam expected
• Knowledge and understanding of relevant design standards and codes
• Strong project management and coordination skills with a strong ability to provide leadership and motivation to project structural teams. You will work in a multi-disciplined team environment and will be expected to demonstrate a collaborative attitude in working with members of the Team
• Ability to confidently relate with all levels of staff and clientele – Internal and External
• Excellent work ethic and desire to succeed
• Effective communication in the English language (verbal and written)
