SR TECHNICAL SYSTEMS ANALYST (ERP)

Our client is in the process of replacing their ERP and redesigning all of their internal business process to be more efficient and effective company wide. This is a golden opportunity to join our team on this exciting Digital Transformation journey.

The Sr Technical Systems Analyst (ERP) to join our Information Systems team. This role will report directly to the Manager, Information Systems. The ideal candidate will be strongly adept at developing and administering system administration for integrated ERP solution and possess a rich understanding of Finance, Accounting, SCM, Projects, Inventory, Maintenance, and HCM processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a trusted ERP technical systems advisor and key liaison with Business (SMEs) in Accounting, Finance, Project Services, HR, Payroll, and other IT teams.
  • Evaluates incoming technical requests and identifies appropriate ERP technology solutions to execute and solve for business requirements and advocates for optimizing and leveraging existing and new “out of the box” ERP features.
  • Provide key measures in support of the team’s KPIs and priorities.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain an enriched catalog of relevant technical, security, and system process documentation and relevant configuration workbooks.
  • Develop centralized processes for security role administration in a ‘best-of-breed’ (SaaS, Private Cloud) systems environment
  • Develops and maintains standards for all aspects to preserve, and optimize, ERP system stability and resiliency such as quality assurance, documentation, application monitoring, release to production, and knowledge artifacts.
  • Lead the design of ‘standardized’ security roles for Business and Technical users
  • Security includes, but not limited to role maintenance activities, adherence with segregation of duties requirements, and supporting the current organization level design.
  • Act as a liaison between the Information Systems and Business teams to meet business needs while providing secure and auditable environments
  • Develop and refine the existing methodology to update specific security activities and responsibilities
  • Executes minor enhancement work that integrates across complex business applications; designing and documenting specifications for system changes, system integrations, and making application configurations.
  • Ensures adherence of ERP delivery to all internal policies, procedures, knowledge management, documentation, and ERP standards.
  • Provide systems analysis, configuration, and support for Companies IFS/UKG ERP solution
  • Participate in cross-functional planning sessions to implement future upgrade / enhancements as appropriate; apply and implement ERP system configurations, reports, and interfaces
  • Develop all testing criteria, scripts, and test plans required to ensure that system changes and enhancements function as designed
  • Promote and participate in Incident Management, Release Management, and Change Management processes in line with best practices
  • Work with vendors and contractors as needed to ensure a highly effective operational support model
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Thorough understanding of ERP in the following Modules:
  • Financials
  • Projects
  • Manufacturing
  • Supply Chain
  • Maintenance
  • Field Services
  • Experience with IFS/UKG’s UltiPro (Core HR and Payroll modules) is an asset
  • Experience with multi-org setups (legal entities, operating units) and foreign currency
  • 5+ years of ERP Security Design, Implementation, and Administration experience.
  • 5+ years of experience with Cloud ERP systems.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • ITIL certification a plus.
  • Knowledge of IT access controls and change management processes.
  • Highly self-motivated, with a sharp attention to detail and a dedication to organization
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Willingly accepts direction to adapt role to organization or team changes.
  • Strong understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives. Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on listening and questioning skills.
  • Strong documentation skills.
  • Ability to absorb and retain information quickly.
  • Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language to non-technical staff and end users.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL).
  • Strong knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS), including its components, how they relate to each other.
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving mind set
