Job description: Develops courseware to support new and existing products, often though not exclusively in conjunction with Product Division.
Develop policies and guidelines for the creation and delivery of classes by working with the curriculum development, instructional, and internal/external audience communities. Identify and implement instructional methods and technologies that add value to classes. Coordinate virtual classroom strategy and operations with global counterparts. Train instructors and curriculum developers to use virtual classroom and conferencing applications.
Manages and controls activities in multi-functional areas of sections. Ensures appropriate operational planning is effectively executed to meet Corporate specifications. Solid project management skills. Background in distance learning methods and technology. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills. BA/BS

Summary:
NetSuite is searching for an experienced Senior Manager to lead our Curriculum team in the design and development of eLearning content and other supporting training materials for NetSuite’s industry-leading software. NetSuite Education Services is transforming how NetSuite’s customers, partners, and employees are educated to best understand, configure, and use NetSuite products.
The Senior Manager, Curriculum Development plays a critical role in achieving this objective by leading a team of Curriculum Developers, in the design, development, and maintenance of innovative eLearning solutions. This position will lead the creation of eLearning training offerings that allow for the successful configuration and use of NetSuite’s software based on recommended best practices. The successful candidate will seek innovative ways to provide an exceptional learner experience throughout the customer’s learning journey
The Senior Manager is an instructional design professional, passionate about creating effective eLearning solutions. The Senior Manager manages and mentors curriculum developers responsible for the design and development of new content, and subsequent maintenance. The Senior Manager brings ideas from Industry best practices and has experience innovating content.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise the day-to-day activities of Curriculum Developers.
- Share ideas, collaborate, coach, and mentor Curriculum Developers on best practices for designing and developing eLearning curricula.
- Partner with other Managers and Portfolio Managers to scope project requirements, including suggested milestones, timelines, resources, goals, and constraints.
- Partner with Translation Portfolio Manager to build training content translated into multiple languages.
- Oversee the design and development of interactive training that combines multiple components for a positive user experience: presentations, demonstrations, simulations, activities, quizzes, job aids, and other materials as needed.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects and tasks.
- Ensure timely, high-quality course development and updates to defined Curriculum Development standards.
- Provide regular project/milestone status updates of the team’s progress to Education Services Senior Leadership.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with other Managers, business owners, SMEs, and other stakeholders.
- Enable and empower team members to work successfully, ensuring that Curriculum Developers have the right resources and training to succeed.
- Set individual and team performance and development goals and handle team management and personnel responsibilities (hiring, goal setting, performance reviews, HR issues, etc.).
- Set realistic short and long-term project goals and manage effectively to accomplish them.
Qualifications include:
Candidates for the Senior Manager, Curriculum Development role should have many of the following qualifications:
- 4+ years’ experience managing a team.
- 8+ years’ experience in instructional design and development, at least 3 of which include experience creating eLearning content.
- Experience leading teams through change initiatives.
- Bachelor’s Degree in education, instructional design, technology, or equivalent is preferred.
- Outstanding verbal and written English-language communication skills.
- Experience using online learning tools e.g. Captivate is a plus.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage shifting priorities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
- Ability to analyze complex training requirements and present effective educational solutions.
- Ability to motivate and inspire others to produce quality content and meet deadlines.
- Proven ability to present solutions, negotiate project specifics, and control scope of projects.
- Experience in creating online solutions for software/applications/enterprise systems is a plus.
