Job description: The Opportunity
McElhanney Ltd. has an opportunity for a Survey Project Manager with experience working on projects in the Lower Mainland. The successful individual will manage projects across various market sectors with a focus on using modern survey technologies to meet the needs of our clients and partners. A track record of leading survey projects, working with clients and managing scope schedule and budget is essential. This intermediate or senior level role is ideal for a self-driven, superior communicator who enjoys a challenge and the satisfaction derived from being part of an established multidisciplinary team. A commission as British Columbia Land Surveyor (BCLS) or other professional designation is an asset.

You’re Fired Up To:
- Manage various survey project types including mining and infrastructure, indigenous land claims, land development, topographic, engineering and construction
- Lead survey crews and office staff on projects; communicate scope and schedule information to team members
- Promote a culture of safety and adherence to McElhanney HSE policies and Safe Work Methods
- Maintain project budgets and build client relationships
- Liaise with both internal (McElhanney) and external Project Managers and clients
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and training to assist with professional development of the survey team
- Ensure quality assurance procedures are carried out for proposals, field returns, drawings, legal plans, documents, and other deliverables
- Provide advice to clients on property and legal survey matters
- Other duties as required.
What You’ll Bring To The Team:
- Professional attitude and strong work ethic with a desire to succeed
- Diploma or degree in Geomatics with strong data processing/computations skills
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills
- Proficiency in computer applications (Office 360, MSCAD or Civil3D and GNSS processing software at minimum)
- Valid driver’s license
- Periods of travel may be required for the role
