Job description: Under the supervision and in collaboration with the course coordinator, the TA will help teach, motivate, and engage nurses pursuing their bachelor’s degree on the topics of evidence-based practice, research methods, and knowledge translation. The TA will be expected to: (1) embrace learner-centered approaches to teaching; (2) mobilize students, guest speakers, and resources to offer exciting presentations, readings, and approaches to learning research, and discussions of research findings of relevance to nursing; and (3) be open and well versed in different research designs and methods. The TA will participate in teaching and the evaluation of students in the course.

Please note that given the planned resumption of most in-person teaching activities in the Fall, Teaching Assistants will be required on campus to perform their tasks in person. Should government restrictions prohibit the resumption of in-person teaching activities, courses will revert to remote teaching. In the event of such a change, Teaching Assistants will be advised as soon as possible. Teaching Assistants may be required to perform tasks suited to a remote/online teaching environment using a virtual learning platform [e.g., Zoom, WebEx] and the McGill myCourses learning management system.
