Summary

Under the responsibility of the Logistics Supervisor, the Warehouse Worker (Material Handler)performs warehouse functions, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and, cycle counting.

Hourly Rate: $20.24 plus $0.50 afternoon shift premium

Shift: Monday to Friday, 3:00pm to 11:30pm

Responsibilities

Perform warehouse function, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and, cycle counting

Be responsible for the accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products and loading and unloading of trucks

Must be able to deal with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)

Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract

Other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

Due to federal regulations:

Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or a Permanent Resident.

Candidate must be able to provide birth certificate and passport as identification.

Candidate must have a valid Ontario driver’s license and be able to provide utility bills showing current address.

Candidate must be able to pass RCMP fingerprint background check.

Candidate must have good command over the English language.

Other Requirements

Candidate must have a good command of English.

H.S. diploma/GED preferred.

One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred

Valid Forklift Operator’s License certified Preferred

Experience with automated pick and pack systems

Familiarization with automated warehouse management system is an asset (PKMS)

Experience with an RF scanner

Experience with MS Office

Good communication skills

Able to Lift and/or push/pull up to thirty-five (35) pounds

Able to stand for long periods of time

Be a team player and work within a diverse work environment.

Can Work by using health and safety methods

Punctuality and good attendance record

Initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision.
