Job Details
Position Title: Work Integrated Learning Project Administrator
Status: FT Admin Temp
Hours: 37.5/hrs
Faculty/Department: Faculty of Media and Creative Arts
Campus/Location: Lakeshore

What you will do:
The Work Integrated Learning Project Administrator is responsible for providing logistical and administrative support for all work integrated learning programming for current students in the Faculty of Media & Creative Arts. The incumbent will oversee the part-time placement advisors and is a key contact for industry liaisons. In addition, this position ensures the curriculum for all 36 programs with a work-integrated learning component are updated annually and works closely with professors and placement advisors to ensure learners are properly prepared for their placements. The incumbent will update Blackboard sites to ensure consistency across the work integrated learning platform and provide feedback to placement advisors on areas for improvement. They will report on metrics for all programs on an ongoing basis and assist the Manager, Placements & International Initiatives with achieving the goals of the strategic plan, specifically the pillar of career-ready citizens and integrating employability skills into all program curricula.
What you bring to the role:
Education
- 3-year diploma or degree, coupled with knowledge of placements or recruitment
Experience
- Knowledge and familiarity with College structure and experience in a post-secondary educational environment is an asset;
- Skills/training in placements, recruitment;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interpret, explain, and advise in a mentoring role;
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively handle interactions with people at all levels of the College and external stakeholders;
- Superior time management and organizational skills;
- Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision;
- Experience in dealing with workplace confidentiality;
- Information Technology knowledge and skills i.e.: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Blackboard.
