Accounting Technician

We’re looking fo a rigorous and resourceful Accounting Technician to join our Finance team. Some of your tasks will be:

• Reconciliation and maintenance of supplier files
• Reconciliation of purchase orders against invoices
• Invoice entry in Quickbooks
• Ensure the digitization of accounts payable documents
• Primary classification of transactions in the accounting system
• Verify the accuracy of the data in the system
• Verify and prepare sales invoices, statements of account, follow-up with customers in default of payment
• Participate in the preparation of payroll and administrative management of employees
• Perform bank reconciliation, account analysis, and variance analysis
• Assist in the preparation of shift end and year-end files
• Participate in the preparation of credit or financing files
• Participate in special projects related to accounting.
• Providing administrative support

Requirements

What you need to succeed:

• Bachelor’s or other relevant education in accounting
• Knowledge and experience in Quickbooks and ReceiptBank
• Excellent ability to prioritize tasks and to meet deadlines
• Good judgement in applying accounting rules
• Detail-oriented
• Bilingual French and English
