Job title: Senior Manager, Finance

Job description: This role is accountable for the scoping, planning, design, and for the project’s operational success of Finance and Business initiatives. Examples of these initiatives include product launches, source system conversions and upgrades, Finance systems implementations and upgrades, implementation of new accounting standards, and regulatory requirements. The role requires expertise in accounting and business operations, process engineering and controls, integrated knowledge of products across multiple business segments, source systems, finance systems, financial, management, and regulatory reporting requirements.

Job Requirements

• Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task and good attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify complex problems develop alternative solutions and provide recommendations.
• Strong MS Excel, MS Power Point skills and Adobe Captivate and Alteryx skills are asset.
• Strong knowledge in products, product life cycle, product systems, financial applications, operational processes, controls and governance, financial reporting and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Strong communication & presentation skills.
• Creative thinker, self-starter, demonstrated ability to navigate complex, ambiguous business problems, flexibility to change, versatility, thought diversity.

Specific Education Requirements / Accreditations: * Professional accounting designation (CA, CGA or CMA) or CFA designation an asset.

• Minimum 10 years progressive experience in Financial Services industry in Finance, Operations, or other relevant roles.
