Reporting to the Sr. Director, Finance, Retail Planning & Analysis the Sr. Manager, Finance, Retail Planning & Analytics will be responsible for providing support with Multiyear plan, Periodic Forecast, Common Year Planning for Retail Drug Stores, P&E initiatives.

Specific duties would include:
Common Year Plan/ LRP:

• Provide FP&A support (variance analysis, , gap closure, reports, risks/opportunities, etc……..)
• Oversees, & manage the delivery of all tools & document provided to Dms and Associates as well as blackout adjustment update
• Support the CYP process inclusive of the completion of store plan in the system
• Understanding of all key business drivers and creating financial models and analyses
• Deliver value-added business analyses and report financial and operational metrics.
• Prepare by store sales, margin, wage rate plan and insure the Key plan assumptions are included.
• Provide support to the prelim plan and LRP process for retail, inclusive of variance analysis, commentary and ensuring strategic initiative are incorporated in to plans.

P&E Retail Strategic initiatives:

• Custodian of Retail P&E initiatives for Actual, Forecast & plan reporting
• Provide Mgmt. reporting and analysis to understand P&E gaps and help mgmt. decision making
• Manage wave input and working with VRO as needed

Weekly / periodic forecast

• Monitor weekly performance to forecast and advise on expected gaps and provide guidance on material gaps that emerge throughout the period to help decision making in advance of the close.
• Responsible for the preparation of the Retail balance sheet forecast, inclusive of commentary on major variation to forecast.
• Responsible for the preparation of the Retail Inventory Forecast, inclusive of commentary on major variation to forecast.
• Responsible for the preparation of the Retail Interest & ALP Forecast.
• Help with the design of the new forecast Model & process after SAP conversion
• Oversees special projects, fulfills ad-hoc requests and one-time reports.

What you will need:

• CPA designation; Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a Finance department with analytical and planning experience
• Drive for continuous improvement and an ability to challenge existing processes
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting practices and policies
• Exceptional analytical abilities, quality driven, and detail oriented
• Project management skills with the ability to leverage resources (people, processes, departments, tools) to complete objectives effectively and efficiently
• Strong problem solving skills and process driven
• Advanced Excel skills; Experience with macros would be an asset
• Experienced in using a planning system would be an asset
• Strong communication & presentation skills, both verbal and written with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with individuals and build collaborative working relationships
