Job description: Are you looking to contribute your skills at a well-respected organization as an Accounting Clerk? Robert Half is in need of an Accounting Clerk for a company in the Real Estate & Property industry who is experienced in supporting a department. The Accounting Clerk position will require matching invoices to purchase orders/ vouchers, data entry, and assisting with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). Responsibilities

– Companywide accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects

– See to the proper coding of documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes

– Support Accounts Payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing

– Assist Accounts Receivable: help with collection of past due balance, process daily invoices/credit, and apply cash receipt

– Remedy discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required

– Put together statements and reports that require utilization of an assortment of sources

– Publish financial information to journals and ledgers
– Ability to multitask and meet deadlines

– Experience with high volume data entry

– AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred

– Spreadsheet and ERP system experience recommended

– Comprehensive knowledge of Purchase Orders
