As the Consultant – IFRS 17/9 Finance SWAT Team, you will be responsible for:

  • Support the SunRise workstreams in the readiness of the organization for IFRS 17 – e.g. developing requirements and, where appropriate, changes to processes, and engaging stakeholders in the Business Groups and Business Units for feedback
  • Assist with troubleshooting implementation issues arising on SunRise as they occur and are assigned
  • Managing and prioritizing multiple competing tasks and deliverables for the workstream/project
  • Understanding and assisting with developing solutions for the impact of IFRS 17 on how insurance businesses measure and manage financial risk; capital requirements; reinsurance; financial performance; business planning; and product design & pricing
  • Assisting model development under IFRS 17, including controls and assumptions for financial metrics and insight into drivers of change for these metrics
  • Assisting and completing reconciliations to ensure IFRS17 balances and accounts are accurate
  • Developing transition material to support the change to IFRS compliance
  • Creating and presenting educational materials for Global stakeholders
  • Other Adhoc duties as assigned
