The Role:
Mejuri is looking for a Manager, Retail Finance who will be instrumental in building the Retail Finance Department, a newly created function with the goal of supporting the growth of Mejuri’s Retail Business.
Accountable for the retail accounting function, financial controls, operations and business reporting,
they will also create, deploy and enforce cross-functional processes critical to Retail activities, ensuring buy-in and compliance of business partners.
You will play a critical role in ensuring we continue building a best-in-class scaleable retail finance team while partnering across the business to ensure our systems and processes are running smoothly.

Responsibilities:
- Manage retail finance processes and work closely with our Director, Retail Finance building a team to scale for rapid growth through automation and leveraged resource models
- Be the key business partner between Finance and the Brick-and-Mortar Retail Business
- Build relationships with key functions including Retail Operations, Retail Expansion, Supply Chain and other global business process owners to drive transparency, consistency and operational excellence
- Develop cross-functional processes to ensure compliance, security of Company assets and accuracy of financial information relating to critical Retail processes
- Partner with Finance sub teams (i.e. Accounting, FP&A, Payroll, Accounts Payable) to ensure compliance with processes that support timely and accurate reporting
- Ensure accurate recording of store related expenses including cost center allocation and expense classification.
- Finance subject matter expert on Retail systems and processes and the interconnection of these systems with other Mejuri tools and systems
- Ensure monthly, quarterly and annual management reporting of the retail business is complete, accurate and timely
- Contribute to the monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting process
- Responsible for supervision and support of other members of the Retail accounting team as it grows
- Perform other duties as required
The successful candidate will have:
- 5+ years experience in an accounting role
- Bachelor of Commerce/Business Degree
- Retail Industry experience
- Familiarity with Google suite of tools including Gmail and Google sheets
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and practices
- Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and finance software
- An analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude
- Excellent communication skills, with proven ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and influence cross-functionally
- Attention to detail, self-motivated and resourceful
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment dealing with ambiguity and constant change
- Possess or working toward accounting designation
