About the Opportunity
- Leadership
- Initially lead a Client Accounting team of 25 staff to ensure timely and accurate preparation of client financial statements and budgets. This will increase to ≈ 40 staff with the integration of the Client Accounts Receivable team
- Build and maintain a culture of service excellence, with a focus on responsiveness and accuracy
- LeadershipoftheStartupTeamresponsibleforthesetupofnewCondoandDeveloperclients
- Prepare and drive Team to achieve targets set out in the Client Accounting KPIs
- Client Accounting
- Build an efficient and scalable team structure that leverages technology
- Be a financial knowledge and thought leader providing: i) training to condo managers and directors as appropriate and ii) sound financial analysis and advice to client
- Support and drive client budgeting process in partnership with management team
- Maintain an ongoing awareness of the regulatory environment impacting Client Accounting
- Maintain performance against targets for financial statement completion, budgeting, audits, Client and Resident NPS, and Associate NPS
- Service Excellence
- Be the face of Client Accounting for clients and to Associates
- Attend “Blue Chip” Client Board Meetings as required
- Lead and support onboarding of new clients
- Review monthly client financials and budgets on a rotating basis with priority given to Blue
- Chip and “Watchlist” clients
- Management and support of Blue Chip and “Watchlist” clients in conjunction with the Senior VP, Finance
- Finance systems and Business Process Automation
- SME (Subject Matter Expert) on all Client Accounting systems and processes, focused on Business Process Automation to drive efficiencies
- Project Lead for the implementation of a Client Accounting Application (Targeted for 2023)
- Support the VP, Finance in the timely and effective delivery of improvement initiatives and projects
- Responsible for producing and maintaining accounting policy and procedure manuals, including relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Banking and Treasury
- Banking and Treasury Lead, including setup of bank and investment accounts, monthly Pre- Authorized Payment upload
- Point of contact for Client Banks, Investment Advisors and Credit Card providers
About You
- CPA (preference for legacy CA)
- 5+ years working experience within a Finance/ Accounting environment
- 3+ years of managerial/ supervisory experience
- Ideally from the Real Estate industry
Salary Range
Up to $130,000/year
