Job description: Our client is a growing Investment Company. They are looking for a Senior Manager of Accounting Policy, Financial Reporting & Valuation to join their finance team.

About the Opportunity
- Provide accounting advice to the Management team related to the accounting for proposed portfolio investments including the purchase price accounting and recommending accounting treatments for non-routine transactions
- Review accounting memos prepared by the team related to new portfolio investments
- Prepare detailed analyses to identify potential accounting issues.
- Draft and circulate comprehensive accounting memos and related documentation (purchase price allocation, business acquisition report, account mappings, etc.)
- Assist with the company’s implementation of new accounting standards
- Monitor IFRS and regulatory (OSC, SEC, COSO, etc.) developments, prepare adoption plans, and assist with implementation
- Contribute to the preparation of quarterly and annual disclosures in the company’s financial statements and MD&A
- Undertake special projects related to internal reorganizations, divestitures, and debt and equity offerings, including preparation of prospectuses
About You
- CPA
- 7+ years of progressive experience in public accounting and/or industry
- Experience preparing consolidated financial statements, MD&A and strong technical IFRS knowledge
- Knowledge of accounting for business combinations, corporate structures and investments
Salary Range
$140,000 – $150,000/year
