Responsibility:
The manager will be responsible for the smooth running of the accounts payable accounting process, including the supervision of a team of accounts payable specialists.

Tasks

  • Participate in the establishment of the budget and the production of monthly financial reports.
  • Monitor accounts payable on a regular basis according to their payment deadline.
  • Check weekly accounts payable reports before payments are issued.
  • Review manual check records.
  • Perform adjustment entries related to accounts payable at the end of each month.
  • Regularly review and reconcile subledger accounts to verify that payments and clearing documents

have been correctly applied to corresponding accrual accounts and that accrued charges or
unapplied payments are within acceptable tolerances.

  • Process reports for selling general and administrative expenses.
  • Coordinate local tasks for payment processing.
  • Participate independently in complex transactions related to accounts payable.
  • Manage month-end and year-end procedures.
  • Coordinate information and documentation for audits.
  • Ensure internal control policies are adhered to.
  • Supervise all office activities and control workflow.
  • Supervise, train, and evaluate accounts payable staff.
  • Organize office tasks and procedures; coordinate, evaluate and revise them as needed to improve

workflow efficiency.

  • Provide support, as needed, to the Manager, Accounts Payable and Treasury.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or administration
  • A minimum of two (2) years of management experience
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in accounts payable functions, ledger reconciliations and

budget preparation

  • Advanced knowledge of the Office-MS suite
  • Knowledge of SAP software (Asset)
  • Bilingual
