Job description: You are an accounting technician looking for an environment where fun and collaboration are an important part of the company culture?

Our client is a company specializing in the investment sector. Currently in full expansion, they are looking for an accounting technician to join their team of professionals! The Controller will be your immediate supervisor.

Your role will be to:
– Perform monthly bank reconciliations for different legal groups.
– Periodically file GST/QST declarations for these groups.
– Prepare and coordinate all government and regulatory statements.
– Produce the accounting cycle (cheques and bank transfers).
– Ensure daily reconciliation and maintenance of transactions in the system.
– Collaborate on the monthly association of brokerage accounts of investment portfolios.
– Participate in monthly regularizations for the closure of the general ledger and other ledgers.
– Keep document and record filing up to date for all legal entities.
– Carry out any other similar tasks.

Requirements:
– DCS or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a relevant field.
– At least 5 years of experience in accounting (combination of schooling and experience is considered).
– Knowledge of the accounting cycle and accounts payable.
– Bilingualism both spoken and written.
– Excellent knowledge of MS Office suite (especially Excel).
– Experience in multi-entity environments.

Salary: $60,000 to $65,000 per year
Schedule: Day shift from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
