Summary:

The Associate Finance Director, Retail and Away from Home (AFH) Category role serves as the control tower for our Sales Finance group, bringing visibility and insights to Sales leadership to support in the decision making process. This role is responsible for monthly reporting, Annual Operation Plan process, and provides overall financial and reporting support to the Head of Sales.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees Customer P&L monthly close process and reporting
  • Lead the Trade forecasting process targeted to support overall P&L accuracy
  • Trade O&R identification via Trade analysis tools (Trade Scrub and PTR reconciliation)
  • The Trade Dashboard support to maintain the balance between Spend and Generation
  • Own development and implementation of the Annual Operating Plan – align AOP principles with Business Unit, Revenue Management, BBP teams and own process development for BU Cascade to Sales, manage Sales Check Point templates for Sales internal AOP meetings
  • Work with Revenue Management group on developing annual Trade Control routines and KPIs for total Canada Sales Organization
  • Continuous improvement in routines and feedback from cross-functional groups
  • Ad hoc financial analysis required by Senior leadership
  • Develop and maintain tools, capabilities, and R&R to translate financial data into solutions that can be used by Area Sales Finance group to impact their respective Sales Area
  • Coaches and develops direct reports to be trusted financial business partners.
  • Collaborates with finance peers across the Canada Zone to identify best practices

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Accounting, Finance or Business required
  • 7+ years’ experience working in a Finance or Accounting role
  • Strong analytical abilities, financial acumen
  • Exceptional communication skills with ability to deliver executive-level presentations
  • Previous experience leading a team
  • Ability to influence cross-functional team members.
  • Strong technical and systems orientation
  • Motivated self-starter who can effectively work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Possesses the ability to lead teams and effectively work through others
  • Team player who manages collaboratively with the ability to influence management, in some cases without authority
