Trouw Nutrition is a leading global nutrition company, and we’re looking for a talented Business Application Specialist (BAS) to join our global ranks in one of North America’s time zones.

The Business Application Specialist (BAS) – M3 Procurement System has proven experience and works closely with the Procurement team as a part of Unite (ERP) implementation and improvement projects. In this team, Business Application Specialists work together on different global projects.

The Business Application Specialist will be at the forefront of driving technological advancements and providing critical support for Infor, M3 and PBI report systems.

As a Business Application Specialist, you are the link between business and IT on steering, facilitating, coordinating, and managing the application and solution building around the ERP system. You will be involved in developing new solutions to address business opportunities, collaborating with stakeholders throughout the entire process, from gathering business requirements and strategy to planning and completion.

This is a remote position working with a global team providing support globally. You must be willing to travel as required.

A DAY IN THE LIFE…

1. Application Development, Maintenance, and Troubleshooting

  • Proactively develop and support business applications, ensuring they align with our evolving business needs.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and collaborate with suppliers to implement effective software solutions.
  • Continuously engage with business stakeholders to ensure the seamless functionality of applications.

2. Expansion and Configuration

  • Identify opportunities to extend application solutions to meet the needs of other business systems and processes.
  • Guide and configure the development of various business applications, ensuring optimal performance and usability.

3. Process Initiatives and Training

  • Participate in or lead process initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and user experience.
  • Provide online training or travel to operating companies to provide guidance and deliver training to equip our teams with the necessary skills for application utilization.

4. Collaboration and Relationship Building

  • Foster strong, long-term relationships with business partners and geographically dispersed teams.
  • Collaborate with Application Engineers to translate functional designs into technical implementations.

5. Governance and Change Management

  • Investigate and translate functional area requirements into process and application projects.
  • Support the approval and prioritization of projects with relevant stakeholders.
  • Act as the Local Unite Owner and BU responsible for changes involving process applications.

6. Program and Project Management

  • Define project charters or change documents for various initiatives.
  • Manage and oversee project execution, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Evaluate and close projects upon completion.

7. Application Support

  • Manage SLAs with suppliers for local applications and coordinate global application support structures with the Global IT Services organization.
  • Organize key-user structures and perform release and capacity management.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8+ years Infor (Lawson) M3 consultancy experience is a must, preferably from Procurement or SCM
  • Bachelor’s degree with a focus on Business, Procurement Systems, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of Procurement/SCM business process and integrations is an asset.
  • Proven experience in application development, maintenance, and management.
  • Strong ability to translate business needs into technical specifications.
  • Project management skills, with a track record of successful project delivery.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of working with diverse teams.
  • A passion for innovation, problem-solving, and staying ahead of technological trends.
