Job description: Interim Finance Manager (4-6 month contract)

Summary of role and responsibilities:

  • As the interim Finance Manager, you will lead Kindred’s day-to-day activities (general/operational), including payables and month-end close.
  • Coordinate and review third-party service providers’ deliverables.
  • Review and approve journal entries, payroll, fixed assets, accruals and inter-company.
  • Review and approve all balance sheet reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly financial statements providing accurate analysis of the organization’s results.
  • Perform/review routine accounting transactions including AP, AR, GL, and payroll.
  • Assist in tax preparation
  • Assist with additional projects as requested

Required skills, education and experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • 6+ years of accounting experience
  • CPA license preferred
  • Excellent excel skills
  • Hands-on experience in a similar size company; “can-do” the mechanics of the function
  • Demonstrated ability to recognize and resolve challenges
  • An entrepreneurial spirit that thrives in a demanding, fast-paced, cross-functional work environment with changing priorities and deadlines
  • Strong analytic, organizational skills, attention to detail
  • Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to collaborate with peers, members of management and cross functional team
