ABOUT THE POSITION

As an Associate you will report to the Partners and provide legal representation to the firm’s public company clients on governance and public discloser compliance issues. Additionally, you will work on financings and M&A transactions.

Responsibilities may also include the following:

• Manage files related to M&A transactions in their entirety
• Support partners and associates
• Work with clients on financing venture capital-backed clients with M&A transactions
• 100% solicitor work – no litigation of any kind

REQUIREMENTS

• 2-5 years previous experience with M&A, corporate transactional work
• Must be capable of managing own files after break in period
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Must have a collaborative/entrepreneurial spirit
• Must be able to perform with a high level of autonomy and with minimum structure
• Be located in Toronto, Vancouver, or Ottawa
