We are looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR). This BDR will be the Wurth brand ambassador with a focus on brining on new customers and lapsed customers within the territory. Reporting to the District Sales Manager, the primary responsibilities will include:
- Build a new sales prospect database by leading sourcing and business development strategies in the Calgary Northeast area while utilizing our current database as well.
- Qualify leads and schedule meetings using our internal sales applications.
- Drive growth of new customer accounts with the long-term goal of forwarding along to neighbouring territory sales reps to aid in establishing a stronger overall organizational account base,
- Learn and master basic product and application knowledge for onsite or online presentations.
- Present our top-quality products and solutions to prospective clients and influencers.
- Use a customer relationship management (CRM) system to keep track of business development activities.
- Provide periodic reports on client interactions and other key performance indicators (KPI).
- Maintain an active lead list and ensure continuous follow up with decision makers to build relationships and generate new business.
- Keep abreast of industry and market trends to help build a robust customer lead list and target key decision makers in the organization.
The Knowledge and Experience you bring to the role:
- Completion of a High School Diploma is required, a post secondary education in Business, or related subject is considered an asset.
- Possess a valid driver’s license, and a clear driver’s abstract.
- 1-3 years in a role related to sales.
- A high level of alignment with the company’s Corporate Values such as collaboration, integrity, respect, and achievement.
- A strong entrepreneurial mindset: a passion that is led through customer centricity, continuous learning, and willingness to push for crucial conversations.
- Highly driven to reach and surpass personal & territory sales goals.
- Resilient by nature; strong communication, listening, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in IOS application experience using CRM systems is an asset.
