We are looking to fill 3 positions in Alberta with target areas in the Edmonton and Peace region of the province. The term of employment is approximately May 1st to August 31st. As a Territory Associate you will work with the Corteva Agriscience Sales Team (Brevant Seeds, Pioneer Seeds and Corteva Crop Protection). You will gain experience and training on both the seed and crop protection pillars of the business throughout the summer, while being mentored by a current Territory Manager.
What you’ll be doing.
You will contribute by helping us bring innovative products and practices to our customers. You will be involved in product launches, field trials/tours, and day to day territory work to help prepare you for a future role. You will sharpen your interpersonal and communication skills while working closely with our internal sales team, retail partners, and grower customers. This will be your opportunity to learn more about seed varieties, crop production, weed identification and management, plus other transferable skills including time management, decision making and problem solving.
Qualifications
What we’re looking for.
We’re looking for people who possess exceptional communication, leadership and interpersonal skills. Self-motivation, the ability to work with minimal supervision and a collaborative nature are critical to success in this role. An understanding of farm practices and a background in agriculture are an asset. Applicants should be passionate about agriculture and pursuing a diploma or degree in agriculture or a related field. Applicants with a farm background that are pursuing a degree in business are also encouraged to apply.
Living in one of the target areas or willing to relocate, a valid driver’s license, and a good driving record are requirements.
