Job title: Accounting Analyst

Job description: New Look Vision Group is for a full time Accounting Analyst. Reporting to the Director of General Accounting, you will be working at our offices located at 4405, chemin du Bois-Franc in Ville Saint-Laurent.

Main Responsibilities

• Manage Month-end closing of various banner
• Manage Fixed-Asset continuity schedule for all our banners
• Review the Importation/validation of sub system interfaces
• Ensure the complete and accurate capture and processing of financial data of all banners
• Reconcile various general ledger accounts
• Review Bank reconciliation
• Perform procedural audits
• Manage the fixed asset module
• Prepare & Review all monthly journal entries (prepaids, accruals, fixed assets)
• Manage the intercos entries and balancing the intercos at month-end
• Ensures all financial data is posted to the GL
• Files GST/QST returns
• Manage the Tax provision entry at month-end and all statements received from governement
• Participate in the preparation of work files for the financial year end and the month-end
• Participates in the preparation of annual budget and quarterly forecasts
• General ledger maintenance – fiscal period maintenance
• Reconciliation of Balance sheets accounts
• Generate reports on demand
• Perform other ad hoc work

Requirements

• CPA designation
• Experience working with ERP system
• High level of adaptability
• 8-10 years of experience in closed months and team management or similar position
• Experience in the retail sector and inventory is an asset
• Bilingual – French and English spoken and written
• Good team spirit
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Able to meet deadlines
• Flexibility
• Autonomous and responsible
• Ability to work under pressure and according to daily priorities
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and Outlook
• Knowledge of Great Plains an asset
• Strong communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills
