About the Department
Within an IT TF TEAM who is serving Central teams, Finance, Risk Referential and other transversal sponsor.

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
The object and mission is to perform project management, business and technical analyze in The accounting and Cash management fields . The candidate will also have to Lead several Projects at the same time in the context of BNP internal and specific IT systems.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Deliver project in production in the expected timing and within the respect of requirements. Respect IT TF BNP project management procedures. Produce functional specifications. Deliver functional and technical production issue analyses.

Accounting and Cash responsibilities
The person will have to conduct BA analyses or investigation in the below scope of functions.

  • P&L accounts,
  • Off balance sheets and balance sheets accounts
  • Client account, Cash accounts, Cash settlement
  • Contract accounts,
  • US Gaap, IRFS, etc..
  • Suspense,
  • Interbank, Inter-Branch accounts,
  • Accounting schema and norms,
  • All accounting property and notion those are essential to define a unique accounting event or single transaction line. Batch number, Contract number, Client number, debit credit, profit center, etc…)
  • FX change position accounts,
  • Regulatory, head office, profitability reporting and present problematic (especially regulatory)

Project management responsibilities

  • Coordination of a project within many other teams
  • Gathering workload estimates, maintaining the planning
  • Getting Commitment from teams,
  • Status report
  • Anticipating tasks to be able to meet project milestones
  • Raise risk to management
  • Clarity tool to be used for project Planning.
  • Project management documentation (Studies, Project initiation documents, User sign off)

ESSENTIAL SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
The below specific requirements are crucial for the quick autonomy needed for in that role. Is requested a minimum of 4 years of experience in the below skills.

IT TF projects often concerns BNP internal tools and technologies.
Therefore : Excellent knowledge of internal BNP tools such as :

  • ATLAS and INFOCENTER
  • GESTAB parametrization tool
  • UNIKIX transactional engine
  • LAP accounting tool
  • Unix BNP specific tools / BNPP specific oracle tools
  • Reporting internal tools : ISM / MATISS / BMRC
  • INTELLIMATCH reconciliation tool
  • MONTRAN

Excellent knowledge of internal BNP tools such as :

  • TBMS
  • Loan IQ

The role also requires :

  • Strong functional knowledge of internal BNP ATLAS2 settings (Paris head office ones and other specifics to North America)
  • Efficient knowledge of the existing and complex BNP architecture (from Upstream BNP operations systems to downstream specific Head office, profitability and regulatory systems).
  • Operational knowledge of CMMI methodology
  • Quasi immediate autonomy within BNP different teams, in order for the BA to fluently start coordinating projects and production functional issues with existing and diverse different central teams in New York, PARIS, Brussels and Mumbai.

KEY SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent technical skills in banking accounting but also referential and credit risk
  • Strong project management skills for several projects at the same time, within an IT team.
  • Accounting and Cash problematics
  • Capacity to coordinate different size projects: Requirement, planning, estimates, Status report and interact a lot with Paris head office culture and teams.
  • Excellent knowledge of SQL, PL SQL, VB (excel mainly). UNIX / ORACLE database
  • COBOL and Web applications is a plus that can make the difference

  • Knowledge of Referential Client data problematic in large Banks
  • Credit legal documentation, covenants.
  • Facilities and diverse Commitment types (credit lines)

  • Risk reporting
  • Risk interfaces and files between operating systems and Risk Back offices system (where the Risk control is operated)
  • Referential data problematic (clients, rates,): need to understand issues around having different referential applications shared by many other applications (Risk, Accounting ledgers etc..).

OTHER IMPORTANT SKILLS

  • Quick technical and functional Independency on topics and organization understanding
  • Conformable with working in multi teams, and multi-site environments
  • Able to write Clear documentation and concise Status report.
