Purpose

Liberty is a growing renewable energy and utility company with assets across North America and internationally. As we strive to keep up with our rapid growth, we look to hire for several roles within our Accounting and Reporting function. We are looking for individuals with a variety of backgrounds and experience in accounting, reporting, and financial systems. It is an exciting time to join our team as we continue building and implementing best practice tools, technologies, and processes across our entire organization. You have:

• A CPA designation, or curiosity about pursuing this designation
• Experience preparing journal entries and reconciliations as part of month-end close
• A passion for asking “why” using this knowledge to leverage technology and improve processes to drive the company forward
• A desire for collaborating with our key partners to deliver the most value
• Experience in preparing consolidated financial statements, note disclosure, and MD&A reporting

You might also have:

• Experience in a large publicly traded organization with complex consolidation and multiple currencies
• People see you as a financial systems super-user (SAP and HFM particularly useful)
• Knowledge of accounting for rate-regulated utilities and power generation assets
• Exposure to US GAAP
• Fluency in Spanish
