As the Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for:

  • Completes the fulfillment of Retail and Small Business Credit Card and Line of Credit maintenance on behalf of Branches, the Customer Contact Centers, Operations & Corporate Services, Retail Products and the Business Support Centre; conducts investigations to resolve exception situations
  • They are acquiring and maintaining working proficiency of Visa/SCL and Electronic Banking products, processes, policies, procedures and regulations governing them.
  • Promptly processes Scotia Reward point adjustments, transfers, reinstatements, and redemptions according to the completed and authorized request.
  • Completes investigations into Momentum Plus Savings Account Bonus Interest and Momentum Savings Account Interest Disputes
  • Performing maintenance activities on Visa accounts and verifying the following day all maintenance work performed with accuracy
  • Consistently meeting Service Level Standards set out in the Service Level Agreements
  • Responds to Customers online credit application inquiries initiated through the online or.COM channel;
  • Providing prompt, courteous and knowledgeable services to telephone inquiries received from the branch and other partners; completes outbound calls to resolve Bank-to-Bank transfer exceptions, bill payment recall requests and obtain missing information on a rejected credit application
  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Champions a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Contribute to the overall profitability of the Bank by Identifying issues/processing deficiencies, recommending solutions, and assisting with the implementation of processes/system changes.
  • Champions a high-performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment, communicating vision/values/business strategy and managing succession and development planning for the team.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations concerning operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct
