This opportunity is ideal for a student that’s interested in understanding the inner workings of a start-up with focus in Accounting as the core principle. The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial and data-driven.
This position is for the Summer term (May – Aug 2022), and requires hybrid office presence in our Toronto office. eSight is carefully monitoring the changing situation with COVID and is operating safely as per provincial and federal regulations for essential business.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):
- Assist with preparation of wire payment forms and monthly bank reconciliations
- Assist with preparation of quarterly and monthly reporting pack, to be seen by the board of directors
- Prepare recurring journal entries for items such as cash, accounts receivables, debt, interest expense, leases
- Maintain financial records with guidance and instruction from senior accounting staff
- Maintain a variety of documentation used by auditors
- Collaborate with other members of the Company in sales, human resources, and marketing
- Work directly with the senior leadership team on the development and implementation of projects
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Competencies:
- Actively pursuing post-secondary major in Accounting or Finance.
- Must have completed the following courses: Introduction to Financial Accounting, Introduction to Management Accounting, introduction to Corporate Finance.
- Able to work with changing priorities, meet deadlines, prioritizes well and able to work under pressure and independently
- Intermediate or higher proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word pptx.
