Job description: Responsible for the Company and its subsidiaries’ accounting work; generate accounting/ financial reports accurately and in a timely manner

• Responsible for the Company and its subsidiaries’ accounting work; generate accounting/ financial reports accurately and in a timely manner.
• Comply with federal and local financial legal requirements, complete the tax returns on time; accurately calculate HST and properly handle the tax refund matters.
• Complete the annual budget preparation according to the Company’s business plan; track and monitor implementations; issue business analysis reports, cash flow and budget execution reports; provide in-time warnings on the risk of completion.
• Back up the financial database by following internal control policies; review payment procedure and monitor the clerical staff on AP/AR.
• Participate in external negotiations on project investment, M&A etc.; provide professional advice on investment decisions involving tax matters.
• Assist the Director/VP in project financing; provide accurate calculations of the interests and maintain credit records of the company.
• Recommend actions required to the management according to the business needs.
• Collaborate across departments and contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

• Minimum 8 years of experience in a similar role; Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent combination of experience. CPA or CA is preferred.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite, Quick Book or other accounting tools, Jonas Premier is an asset.
• Residential development experience is a must.
• High attention to details, proven problem solver and a team player.
• Excellent business acumen and interpersonal skills.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada.
• Fluent in English and Chinese.
