Job description: Position: Accounting Technician
Location: Laval
Salary: Up to $60,000 per year depending on experience

Our client, a manufacturer located in Laval, is looking for an Accounting Technician. Under the supervision of the Controller, the incumbent is responsible for managing the accounts payable and receivable.

Duties and Responsibilities:

– Codify invoices and enter into the accounting system
– Match delivery slips with invoices
– Balance month-end journals and general ledger report
– Prepare monthly adjusting entries
– Perform bank reconciliations
– Perform analysis of general ledger accounts
– Perform daily bank monitoring for working capital
– Assist in the preparation of annual audit files
– Perform on-demand analysis and other related tasks
– Perform cash receipts in auxiliaries
– Check for exceeded credit limits and follow up
– Carry out recovery and collection on a daily basis
– Analyze the files of delinquent clients
– Perform cash flow forecasts
– Perform credit inquiries
– Respond to credit reference requests
– Close the accounts receivable auxiliary at the end of the month

Skills:

– DEP in accounting or equivalent
– At least two years of experience in processing accounts payable/receivable
– Advanced Word and Excel, Orchestra and Virtuo software, an asset
– Spoken and written bilingualism (French/English)
