We are seeking a professional, easy-going but reliable and punctual person to fill an administrative role on our team. Working closely with the Office Manager the ideal candidate will have a personable demeanor combined with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

The Receptionist will possess skills related to attention to detail, combined with the ability to manage multiple tasks and interruptions. An understanding of office process and procedure would be an asset, including file and document management, business correspondence and data management. The ability to work independently while supporting team goals in a collaborative office environment is key.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Key Duties:

  • Office/phone reception
  • Answer stakeholder and ratepayer phone enquires
  • Administrative support to the office personnel (as preparing letters and memos)
  • Bank deposits, invoicing, cash receipting, processing applications and agreements, preparing reports and providing information to taxpayers and the public

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Post-secondary education, preferably in business administration is considered an asset
  • Related office experience and equivalencies will be considered
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); knowledge of SharePoint and One Drive
  • First rate communication skills: written and verbal skills, strong public relation skills, organization abilities and proven attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy and initiative
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team environment
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize work to meet tight deadlines
  • Understanding of the rural landscape including Township & Range system is preferred (ATS System)
  • Upon commencement, the successful candidate will provide a Criminal Records Check
