Job description: Your Opportunity:

This position is part of the Alberta Health Services (AHS) South Zone Public Health department, and is located at Lethbridge Community Health (Train Station site). As an Administrative Support III you will carry out administrative activities in support of departments/programs, the interdisciplinary team and/or other stakeholders. Your key responsibilities can include customer service, completing patient registrations, scheduling of appointments, answering the phones, filing and faxing as required, ordering and stocking of office/program supplies, as well as validating and inputting data. Your additional responsibilities may also include maintaining waitlists, preparing bank deposits, generating reports and various documents, completing timekeeping, ordering supplies and assisting with a variety of general clerical activities in support of operations.

As an Administrative Support III, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years administrative support experience, at least 1 year of that within a health care facility. Strong working knowledge and use of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Excellent working knowledge of Public Health computer applications, including Meditech, Netcare, AVBS, Genesys. Effective communication skills required – oral and written. Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams. Demonstrated ability to work in a self-directed, fast paced environment. Demonstrated ability to maintain a positive attitude while being adaptable to change. Demonstrated ability to be warm, welcoming, respectful, patient and non-judgmental in working with the public and with colleagues. Preferred Qualifications:

Graduate of a post-secondary administrative support program preferred. Administrative support experience within a health care facility. Experience with data entry of immunizations. Experience with meeting minute taking. Experience ordering/maintaining program supplies. Strong prioritization skills.
