Are you an administrative leader that has a proven track record of excellence? As the Staffing Service Centre Operations Specialist (SSCOS), you will ensure optimal service levels, including staffing service productivity, while simultaneously promoting Provincial Staffing Services (PSS) goals, objectives and associated best practices. You will use your advanced knowledge and skills with ESP scheduling application and provincial scheduling business process to support clients and objectives. As the Operations Specialist, you will act as a resource for internal staffing service employees and client groups (managers and unit/department employees) on the staffing process and executing provincial scheduling best practices. Importantly, you will perform business knowledge assessments of scheduling staff to support employee performance and development plans as required by the Staffing Service Centre Manager (SSCM). As the SSCOS, you will coach and provide instruction to administrative staff on the performance of job functions and how to achieve service goals and directives. In addition, you will provide dedicated support to the orientation and overall optimal performance of Staffing Service Centre employees and the development of quality assurance/audit tools and scheduling processes. In consultation and collaboration with the SSCM, you will assign and direct work in accordance with established priorities. You will also be responsible for ensuring the standardized execution of training practices and processes with internal Staffing Service Centre employees, external managers and clients. SSCOS’ will be assigned to support the North Zone & the correlative SSC hours of operation.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. certificate in office or business administration). Additional Required Qualifications:
1 year of experience providing training/education to adults. 1 year of experience with Environment for Scheduling Personnel (ESP) and ESP Self Service scheduling software. 3 years of advanced experience in staff scheduling in a health care environment. Knowledge of Alberta Health Services’ environment and staffing practices. Previous Administrative Support V- Scheduler Team Lead experience. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with unionized groups and multiple management levels. Knowledge of the applicable collective agreements and pay codes. Leadership experience (Delegating, Prioritizing, Coaching, Mediating). Experience documenting and analyzing business processes. Proven customer service experience /strong commitment to client satisfaction.
