Job description: Your Opportunity:

Department of Surgery is seeking dynamic, highly efficient, and outcome driven Education Coordinator for the Office of Surgical fellowship. The Education Coordinator plays a key role in coordinating the recruitment and the onboarding process for the surgical fellows at the department of surgery. Furthermore, this position provides administrative support to the surgical fellowship program directors as required. The Education Coordinator also helps with planning education sessions and events as required. The position interacts very closely with many internal and external stakeholders such as University of Calgary, AHS Medical affairs and third party vendors.

As an Administrative Support V, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. certificate in office or business administration). Additional Required Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree in business management, or healthcare related degree. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills – verbal, written, and presentation. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and tasks effectively. Demonstrated ability to work and learn in fast pace environment. Must have excellent organizational skills and ability to pay attention to details. At least 5 years’ experience in healthcare. At least 5 years’ experience working in a program coordinator role in department similar in size and scope to the department of surgery. At least 2 experience working in Admin V capacity at department similar in size and scope to the department of surgery. Intermediate to advance MS office Suite and Excel. Preferred Qualifications:

Project management or and change management certification. Experience working with University of Calgary in addition to working with AHS.
