Homestead Co-op is hiring a Sales Agronomist on a permanent basis, onsite at our Agro Site in Austin, MB.

Are you looking to take the next step in your Sales career? Do you have a passion for Agriculture and want to join a dynamic group of Ag professionals? Homestead Co-op wants to hear from you!

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and implement a customer communication and sales plan that includes grower and industry meetings, field trials, etc.
  • Deliver on field activities such as scouting, soil testing, and reporting to growers.
  • Communicate the needs of growers to Manager and Agro Team.

Who you’ll work with:

The Team: You will work closely with Agro Site team members including the Ag Manager, Ag Equipment Sales Rep, and another Sales Agronomist. This tightknit and supportive team always counts on one another to cultivate a culture of customer focus.

The Community: Austin is small community in Western Manitoba, found alongside the Trans-Canada Highway. Less than 2 hours from Winnipeg and about 1 hour from Brandon, you will find this quaint community. Austin is home to the Manitoba Agricultural Museum and one of Manitoba’s most dynamic family festivals, The Manitoba Threshermen’s Reunion & Stampede. This event is an outstanding celebration of Manitoba’s agricultural roots and pioneering spirit. With its vibrant culture and deep history, Austin is truly a hidden gem of the Prairies!

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Retail Operations and:

  • Have progressive and successful experience in Sales.
  • Have a degree or diploma in Agriculture or a related field (a combination of education and experience may be considered).
  • Are registered or eligible for registration with the respective provincial Professional Institute of Agrology. A Certified Crop Advisor or Manitoba Institute of Agrologists designation is considered an asset.
  • Have excellent customer service, problem solving, and communication skills.
  • Hold a valid Driver’s License.
