Job title: Analyst, Corporate Finance
Job description: The Analyst plays an essential role in supporting the activities of the Corporate Finance team and will also more broadly support the firm in achieving its overall business goals
Reporting to Manager, Corporate Finance, the Analyst is a detail-oriented professional with accounting experience The Analyst is energetic, dynamic, and team-oriented and thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Responsible for managing the accounts payable function for the Funds and Management Company
- Review and monitor monthly employee expense reports in accordance with company policies
- Assist with day-to-day operations for the management company
- Ensure expense allocations for the Funds and Management Company are in compliance with policies
- Liaise with internal and external parties to manage the workflow for vendor payables, expense reports and contracts
- Prepare intercompany billings and reconciliations
- Prepare monthly HST returns and related supporting schedules
- Assist with the implementation of new projects and systems
- Assist with management company audit process
About You
- 1+ year of relevant experience in accounting; experience in private equity is considered an asset
- Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance or equivalent
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Meticulous attention to detail and with a mindset for automation and efficiency
- Ability to interface and maintain effective relationships with teams and employees across all levels
- Ability to multitask, meet pressing deadlines and make sound decisions based on priorities and risks
- Team player who enjoys a high-performance culture
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite – Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Experience with advanced accounting systems and expense management tools is considered an asset
Salary
$70,000/year
